We initially met in 2016 at dental school in Washington, DC. We were acquaintances up until I experienced my “quarter-life crisis”, when Bethel showed up for me as an amazing friend. From there, we planned numerous study sessions, tried various new restaurants together, and the rest is history!
We met at Howard University College of Dentistry. We had an amazing conversation about life, family, studies and she just struck me as an individual who was focused on academics and the Lord. I wanted to know more about her, and made the first move by requesting to study with her.

Aso ebi is a Yoruba custom of wearing matching outfits to social events, widely adopted by many other tribes in Nigeria. The word aso ebi translates to “family uniform” and can serve as a way to identify with friends, relatives, or age mates, and to show solidarity, cooperation, and camaraderie during events and ceremonies such as this wedding! The color for the day is rust/burnt orange! The Aso Ebi package for women will be 140$ and include a beautiful george fabric + gele (head tie). The men’s package will be 80$ and include a senator fabric with an accent cap. Please let us know if you are interested. God bless!
If you need help with finding a tailor or finding style inspiration, please reach out to Serratu directly through text at 6824331116. You can also start a search through Tik Tok, Instagram, or Google and type “asoebi men” or “asoebi women” and you will see plenty of styles to choose from! Please do not wear gold or brown, as these colors are reserved for the bridal party Aso Ebi.
